Peruvian Olive Rice

Here's a fun and delicious spin on your everyday steamed rice and it only requires one extra step to your traditional steamed rice recipe. It's ready in twenty minutes and the perfect compliment to any main dish. 

 

PREP TIME 5 minutes

COOK TIME 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups white rice
  • 1/4 cup Peruvian Gourmet Olive Sauce
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbl spoon Olive Oil

Sauté the crushed garlic in the olive oil in a pot. Add the rice and water to the pot. Half way through cooking or when the water is half evaporated stir in the Peruvian Gourmet Olive Sauce. Lower the heat to low and cover for about 3 to 5 minutes or until all the water is almost fully evaporated. Turn the heat off and allow the rice to steam for another few minutes.
